February reads

A slow reading month. I've actually read two others, but haven't yet put up the reviews. I did a lot of reading, but it was mostly exams, coursework and research. Of the five books below, When Money Dies gets the nod, though I doubt it'll be up there in my best book of the year list come December.

February reviews

A fairly varied month of reading. The stand out book by a country mile was Philip Kerr's Field Grey. Bernie Gunther is a great character and Kerr is excellent at creating a complex plot that stretches out over twenty years, and which overlaps with the other six books. Really top-notch stuff.

February Reviews

February felt like another slow month of reading, mainly due to being sidetracked with other things. My book of the month was Daniel Woodrell's The Ones You Do. If you haven't discovered Woodrell, he's well worth checking out - carefully layered, multitextured stories of everyday life on the margins.
